The Practice of Truth in Flight
The cocoon is a memory.
Our wings have hardened. We know what to do. Instinctual.
The way our bodies move through space is different now. The way we respond is different. We're already flying.
And yet…
The Energy
There's a learning curve to this new sky. The world beneath us is reshaping itself. Old structures are cracking. The identities people wore are crumbling. Maybe you're noticing the people around you are weirdly irritable. Deeper in their feelings. Raw in ways they can't quite name. Or maybe I'm just talking about myself here.
This week I've been feeling a little out of sorts and uncomfortable. Like something is still pressing up from under the surface, asking to be acknowledged.
I don't believe this squirminess is my imagination. It's not just drama. It's medicine. It's the truths that were hiding in plain sight, bubbling to the top now. The old ways of relating, the old securities, the systems that held everything in place... they're breaking. And something new is trying to form in the rubble.
It's like we are these beautiful butterflies with new wings AND we don't yet know where they're taking us. But our human minds don't always love this unpredictability. Yes, this means potential of all sorts… and yet as a collective, we are in the kind of unknown none of us have ever really experienced.
This week is intense in the astrology (I feel like that's been the case for months on end now), and the Taurus New Moon arriving on Saturday is pulsing with fire and initiation. The kind that says: what are you choosing? What still needs to burn away so your highest path can emerge?
And here we are. Still learning. Still adjusting to the wingspans we've reclaimed while navigating a world we have no reference point for.
The Teaching
There's a paradox in the idea of coming home to yourself, it can feel like that dream state of stepping into a house you somehow know is yours but it feels wildly unfamiliar.
Your Original Frequency, the one that was there before the conditioning, before the wounding, before the prescribed life you built when you were asleep to the bigger picture... it's still yours. It was always yours. But after all these years of living as the version you were shaped into, the real you feels unfamiliar. And unfamiliar often feels unsafe.
So there's a natural resistance. A fear. What new fears does reclaiming yourself stir up?
Maybe it's the fear of being truly seen. Of standing in your Original Frequency without the armor of the persona you built. Maybe it's the fear that if people really know you, they'll leave. Or judge. Or decide you're too much or not enough.
But most of that judgment you're bracing for? It's your own voice. The internalized critic that learned early on that there were parts of you that weren't safe to share. That learned to hide, to perform, to smooth the edges so you wouldn't be rejected.
We all want the same thing. To be heard. To be seen. To be understood without judgment. And we're all terrified of it for the exact same reason. It's vulnerable.
There's an undercurrent to all of this that the world is asking us to look at right now. The wounded masculine in all of us. Not just the men. All of us.
It's the part that learned to protect itself through control. Through numbness. Through disconnection from the body, from feeling, from the truth of what's really happening. It's the part that was taught that vulnerability is weakness, that emotions are a liability, that the only way to be safe is to be hard.
And it's being revealed right now. In the systems. In the relationships. In our own bodies.
But this revelation isn't punishment. It's an invitation. The invitation to tell the truth. Not the blame kind. Not the victimhood kind. Just... real, unflinching truth about the ways you've been shaped. By systems. By programs. By fear.
And as that truth comes up, the deeper feminine in all of us is asking something too. She's not asking you to think about it more. Not asking you to process it in your mind. She's asking you to move it.
Move it through your body. Dance. Breathe. Cry. Sweat. Vocalize. Let your nervous system know that it's okay to feel this intensely. That you can survive your own truth.
Because the frequency of the entire world is shifting right now. The old structures are cracking. And you have two choices: resist the current and exhaust yourself trying to keep things as they were. Or learn to fly within it, so that one day you can fly above it. In your truth.
You are built for this, but it's a practice, not a given. Like all things that we call a practice, you very well might not be good at it at first. You have to learn how to move with change. You have to learn how to feel without getting looped in the story. Truth is not a one-time performance. It's a practice.
It needs your body. It needs your breath. It needs you to stop thinking your way through and start feeling your way through.
That's where the real reclamation happens.
The Invitation
This week, try noticing something.
When the resistance comes, and it will, because this is the kind of week where everything that's been suppressed is asking to be felt, pause for a moment. Where in your body is that fear living? Is it a tightness in your chest? A clench in your belly or your jaw? A heaviness in your throat? An ache somewhere you can't quite name?
Just notice. No judgment. No need to fix it yet.
And then ask that energy (and yes, I'm saying separate the energy from the you who is feeling it): "what will help you move?"
There's no wrong answer here. For some of you, it's tears. Let them flow. For others, it's movement. Dance in your backyard. Sing loudly in your car. For some, it's the simplest thing, your own loving hand placed right where the fear is living. Deep belly breaths. A yoga class. Shaking it out. Vocalization. Sound.
Your body knows what's needed. You just have to get quiet enough to listen. And you can't rush it.
This is the practice of feeling without thinking. Of trusting your nervous system to know what it's asking for. Of moving the energy so it can be released instead of staying stuck inside you.
And now that you're learning how to use these wings of your personal truth, be intentional about what you're consuming.
Your frequency diet is everything you take in. The news you scroll through at breakfast. The people you spend your energy on. The songs that play while you're driving. The conversations you engage in. All of it is input. All of it is either supporting your flight or weighing you down.
This week, pause before you consume. Ask yourself: does this feed my ability to fly in my truth, or does it feed the fear?
You don't have to cut everything out. You don't have to be perfect about it. But you get to choose. And choosing consciously, even in small moments, is how you practice flying.
Give yourself grace because you're a student right now. And students aren't expected to be masters.
You're going to feel the fear and still consume the thing that feeds it. You're going to try moving the emotion and get stuck in your head anyway. You're going to forget you have wings and slip back into the small version for a moment. And that's not failure. That's learning.
Be as compassionate with your student self as you would be with someone you love who's just learning a new skill.
Because that's who you are right now. You're learning to fly consistently in your own truth. And that takes practice. Lots of it. The kind where you're clumsy sometimes and brilliant other times and mostly just showing up.
Keep doing it. Keep showing up. Your Original Frequency is patient. It's been waiting this long. It can wait while you learn.
