Never Giving Up, Always Letting Go
The Energy
Still in the current... and this week it's got some voltage.
If you've been feeling like everything is moving faster than you can keep up with... you're not imagining it. You're not falling behind. You're just here with the rest of us on a horse that has been running full speed since mid February and now she's turned on the turbo boost and has absolutely no intention of slowing down.
In Chinese astrology, we are in a Fire Horse year. And this mare is not trotting. She is done warming up. She is in it to win it and the question was never whether you could stop her. The question is whether you can keep your ass securely seated in the saddle.
Because there's a difference between riding and being dragged.
The ones who stay on aren't the ones white-knuckling the reins trying to control the pace. They're the ones who found their center inside the speed. Still. Rooted. Aligned. Letting the horse run while they stay deeply connected to something steady and sure inside themselves.
That's what this week is asking of you.
Have you felt your flame come back? Good. Now don't let it run you. Hold the reins with soft confidence. Grip with ease but don't let go.
And if fear has been showing itself to you lately, personally, collectively, in your feed, in your body, that's not a sign something is wrong. Fear is just information. Like we talked about last week, it can show us what we care about. Remember: shadows only exist because there's a light source somewhere nearby. Notice what's being revealed. Notice what's being illuminated. Sometimes the light shows you where the door is.
Urgency is not alignment. Speed is not always indicative of right direction.
Hold your center. The current is moving fast this week. I invite you to stay in it without losing yourself.
The Teaching
Whatever you're feeling right now... bring it forward for a second. Don't reach for anything. Just notice what's already present. Whatever emotion is closest to the surface in this very moment.
Got it? Good. We'll come back to it.
Now try this. Say to yourself: I am frustrated.
Feel that for a moment.
Now say: I am satisfied.
Feel that too.
Now say: I am experiencing frustration.
And: I am experiencing satisfaction.
Same feelings. Different relationship to them. Did something shift? A little more space? A little less grip? A little more... room?
Sit with that for a second before we go any further. Then try it with the emotion you identified a few moments ago.
Here's what just happened. Words are spells. The language we use to describe our experience doesn't just reflect reality... it shapes it. What you call a thing, and more importantly how you place yourself in relation to it, determines how much power it has over you.
I am frustrated makes frustration an identity. I am experiencing frustration makes it a visitor. One closes. One opens. One freezes the wave. One lets it move.
And it works both ways, which is the part nobody talks about. Because "I am happy" feels like a good thing to say. But when you fuse your identity to happiness... what happens the moment it shifts? And it will shift. Because that's not a flaw in you. That's life doing exactly what life does. Humaning at its finest.
The goal was never to feel good all the time. The goal is to stop letting any feeling, the ones we love and the ones we resist, decide who or what we are.
Here's something worth sitting with: the word emotion itself is telling you something. Energy in motion. E-motion. It was always meant to move. That's its nature. That's its job. When we use language that fuses us to a feeling we turn energy in motion into an iceberg. Heavy, stuck, taking up space, going nowhere. Almost insurmountable.
Avoiding an emotional wave doesn't make it smaller. It just freezes it. The emotion doesn't dissolve because you didn't look at it. It just stops moving. And stuck energy in the body is where the real weight lives. It's where dis-ease festers.
But when we create even a sliver of space... the wave can move again. You are not the storm. You're the one watching it move through.
I have two Sanskrit words tattooed on my wrists for a reason.
Abhyasa. Vairagya. Practice and non-attachment. My translation: never giving up, always letting go. It's the sutra I come back to more than any other because it holds the whole paradox of this work in just two words. You stay committed to the practice AND you release your grip on the outcome. You feel the feeling AND you don't let it define you. You ride the fire horse AND you stay confidently centered in the saddle.
This past year has been the living proof of that for me. Peaks and valleys, surges and smolders. And all of it, every single bit of it, has been an upward spiral. It just doesn't look that way from inside it. From inside a spiral it can feel like you're going in circles, like you're back where you started, like nothing is changing.
But you're not back where you started. You're visiting a familiar feeling from a higher elevation. The valley looks different from up here. You have more tools. More awareness. More capacity to let the wave move rather than freeze it. This is true every time, if you're willing to see it.
That's Deep Frequency Living. Not the absence of hard feelings. The ability to move through them without becoming them. Without letting them define you.
Never giving up. Always letting go.
The Invitation
This week the practice is simple. Almost deceptively so.
Just notice.
Catch yourself in the "I am." It will happen more than you expect, in your thoughts, in your conversations, in the way you explain yourself to yourself in the quiet moments. I am overwhelmed. I am behind. I am so done with this. I am so happy. I am finally getting it.
All of it. The heavy and the light.
And when you catch it... just try the shift. I am experiencing overwhelm. I am experiencing happiness. I am experiencing this moment of feeling done.
You don't have to do anything else with it. You don't have to fix the feeling or chase it or release it with a ceremony. Just create the space. Let the waves have somewhere to go.
That's it. That's the whole practice this week.
And if you find yourself wanting to go deeper, if this transmission has stirred something that feels ready to move, that's the current telling you something. You honestly don't even have to know exactly what's ready. Willingness to allow it is a powerful first step. If it feels like you could use some support, I'd love to help you move it.
Whether that's on a yoga mat, in a sound bath, or in a private Deep Frequency Session where we do this work in your body while your mind takes a rest... I'm here.
You're still in the current. Riding this beautiful fire horse. Spiraling upward even when it feels like circles.
Never giving up. Always letting go.
